Indian agriculture today is facing new and unprecedented challenges, especially in the context of climate change. We must gear ourselves to meet these challenges with a strong focus on dual aspects, last mile (channel partners) and farm policies. Both must be bolstered with a clear long-term view so that there are immaculate benefits to farmers, value chain partners and the environment.
In view of the above, Yara India in association with FICCI is organizing this knowledge-sharing session “Harnessing Agriculture’s Potential – 2035: Focus on Last Mile” on 19th September 2023 from 03:00 – 05:00 p.m. which aims to focus on channel partners, as they have facilitated millions of farmers to adopt new technologies and practices and improve their incomes. We take this opportunity to commemorate the consistency and commitment of the channel partners who have been in this business serving the farmers for the last 50 years or more.
The session will have a panel discussion amongst Thought leaders from agri think tanks, public sector partners, value chain partners, and a few start-ups to discuss the current challenges in the sector, new areas for agribusiness and deliberate on possible solutions and new ways of doing business.
The overall goal of this knowledge-sharing session is to sensitize, motivate and address the challenges faced by the stakeholders in the Agri value chain. With so much potential in the agriculture sector, it becomes imperative that the agri-input players are suitably identified, supported and handheld so as to mainstream them for the long run. Through this event, we will recognize the efforts made by the Agri input channel partners for their contribution to the sector and celebrating the glorious 50 years of their existence in India.
