Siddarama Achari story | YARA.in

Siddarama Achari is from Bandral Camp Village, Siruguppa Taluk, Bellary District, North Karnataka. He has been practicing agriculture for 20 years. Although his major crops are cotton and sorghum, every year he cultivates red chili on 2-3 acres of land.

According to the farmer, cultivating vegetables like chili is profitable due to the shorter duration of the crop and consistent market demand. While he faces several challenges, such as pest and disease attacks, he strongly believes in the concept of balanced nutrition. This approach provides better nourishment to plants, enhancing their tolerance to pests, diseases, and adverse climatic conditions.

Siddarama Achari believes that red chili is an important crop as dried chilies are used daily in households. Despite the challenges, he continues to grow this valuable vegetable regularly.
